Following on from the private beta that ran last weekend, which was just for those that pre-ordered the game or were lucky enough to get a code, Ubisoft have now confirmed that they will be holding an open beta for the game in early March. Running from 1st 4th March, all and sundry will be able to download and get into the beta to visit Washington DC and try out a bunch of the game’s content. Though nothing has been confirmed, it’s highly likely that it will feature the exact same content as the private beta, which featured two early game main missions, a number of side missions and a small slice of endgame content.

In related Division news, Ubisoft has announced that an upcoming open beta for the game is set to release for the beginning of March. This open beta has yet to be detailed, however, you can catch up the latest announcement for the games right here. The Division 2 is set to release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and March 15. Are you exciting for the upcoming open beta? Let us know in the comments below.

The open beta for The Division 2 gets going Friday, March 1, through Monday, March 4. It will cover all of the content of the private beta, which will include one of the three Dark Zones, a chance to see an endgame mission, and the character specializations that unlock at level 30. Watch Dogs 2 is a stellar open-world game centered around a hacking group and filled with cool tech. Ghost Recon Wildlands is a massive tactical third-person shooter that is perhaps a bit too big, but still fun. Far Cry Primal, meanwhile, is a change of pace for the first-person shooter series, as it’s set in the Mesolithic Age and largely centers around hunting. If you haven’t played one or more of these Ubisoft titles, this is a great opportunity to finally give one of them a go.

Guillemot also talked about the future of The Division 2. He mentioned that the upcoming looter shooter has everything to be a bigger seller and have a longer lifetime than the original. This could suggest that Ubisoft are looking to support to game into Year 2 and even Year 3 with new content. In the original game, the major content drop was reserved only for the first year while only some minor additions were included in the second year. Basically, Ubisoft gave up on The Division after the first year and focused their work on the sequel.
